Bulgarian director, professor, and researcher.
Elena Vladova graduated in Acting for the Puppet Theatre at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Art (today, Natsionalna akademia za teatralni i filmovi izkustva (NATFA), (National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts) in Sofia, under professors Atanas Ilkov and Nikolina Georgieva. She works as an actor and director at the Durzhaven kuklen teatur Varna (State Puppet Theatre Varna) as well as holding a position as professor at NATFA.

Since 1984, Elena Vladova holds a PhD in Theatre Science at the Bulgarian Academy of Science. She is also author of many publications in the national press. In 1997, she published her first book, Blagoslovia na kuklite (Blessing of the Puppets), on Bulgarian puppetry traditions.
