Argentine puppeteer. A visual artist, Alcides Moreno was introduced to the art of puppetry by Héctor Di Mauro. In 1962, he created the puppet theatre El Farolito (The Little Lantern), a company that was very successful in Argentina. He helped create the School of Puppets of Neuquén and founded another puppetry school in Rosario, of which he was the first director. Along with Ana María de Guadalupe Tempestini, he co-founded the Feria Internacional del Títere de Sevilla (Seville International Puppet Festival) in 1981.

Alcides Moreno taught in Argentina, as well as Spain where he spent the latter part of his life.
